This project is located on the vibrant Hayes St. in San Francisco, CA. The building was originally designed by the award winning architecture firm Handel Architects. We had the pleasure of doing a complete furniture installation for this two bedroom two bathroom condo. Some of our favorite pieces in this home were the custom dining table designed by Vorath Woodworks based out of Oakland, the custom sofa made by Cisco, and the Paulistano leather chair that compliments the triangular window perfectly.
This retail project was designed for an emerging specialty menswear brand James Ryder. This space features poured concrete floors with hand placed aggregate, custom built in shelving and cash wrap made from rift sawn oak, lighting from Brendan Ravenhill, and custom iron windows and doors. The inspiration for the design of this store came from came from the brands clothing. When things are made well they don’t have to be complicated. The materials and the craftsmanship should speak the loudest.
This project was a complete remodel of a five bedroom four bathroom Victorian home in the Presidio Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. SVKID worked closely with Towey Construction and SUJO Architecture over the course of one year. SVKID selected all the finishes in the home from flooring, trim, paint, interior hardware, to lighting, and re-designed the kitchen and all four bathrooms. Some of our favorite features of this home are the Susan Kasler pendants in the kitchen, the Holland & Sherry wallpaper in the powder room, and the Schoolhouse Electric hardware on the kitchen cabinets.

SVKID worked with the chef/owner and investor team to completely re-design a dark and dated commercial space on Valencia St. in San Francisco. Among the elements that were re-designed were the facade of the commercial building, interior dining space, cash wrap, and public bathroom. The space is now bright, open, and modern. We maximized space planning to accommodate a thriving catering and dine in business.
This is the first location of SVKID in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco in the historic American Industrial Building. We installed new European hardwood floors, window shades, and lighting. Custom desks and storage systems were also designed to fit the small space.

This condo is located in the historic Esprit Park development in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco. This home was for a wonderful couple who loved to cage dive with sharks in South Africa, go adventuring in Asia, and helicopter skiing in Canada. They were rarely home, but when they were they wanted a place that felt modern, urban, and ready for entertaining. We still love this dark and moody master bedroom.
SVKID assisted a young professional in the re-design of his two bedroom, two bathroom condo located just steps from Dolores Park. Our favorite pieces in this home were the integrated headboard and nightstand which maximized a small master bedroom, the FLOR tiles in the entry way, and the large format photo by Kate Schermerhorn in the dining room.
SVKID worked with architect Troy Kashanipour of TK Workshop to turn a two bedroom bungalow into a four bedroom home for a modern young family of four. We worked with Forum Construction to excavate the entire lower floor of the home and add a family room, two more bedrooms, a laundry room, and a bathroom. This gorgeous kitchen features cabinetry hand made by Kai Woodworking out of Elm and Italian matte finish laminate. The backsplash is from Heath Tile, and the counter-tops are by Caesarstone.

This historic home in the Monterey Heights neighborhood of San Francisco was originally designed by the architect Harold Gordon Stoner. He was credited with designing many of the homes in this neighborhood as well as the adjacent St. Francis Wood community. We oversaw the restoration of this three story home with epic views out onto the Pacific Ocean. We helped the home owners re-imagine a new kitchen and four new bathrooms in an updated twist on Spanish Colonial design. We also specified gorgeous new decorative lighting by Workstead and Apparatus, and custom interior door hardware from Rocky Mountain Hardware. We over saw the installation of commissioned art pieces including a macrame weaving by Macro Macrame in Brooklyn. Tile work throughout the house was sourced from Exquisite Surfaces, Ann Sacks, and Fireclay Tile.
